I practice traditional Taekwondo following the teachings of Grandmaster Kwon Jae-Hwa. As a teenager I practiced at the school of GM Angela Stadler. After moving and a pausing for a few years I joined the school of GM Thomas Weiss and Jürgen Sammler where I trained for many years during studying chemistry and later writing my PhD thesis at the University of Bonn. During that time I taught Taekwondo in the sports program of the University.
After I finished my thesis I got a scholarship for a PostDoc position at the Max-Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion in Mülheim an der Ruhr where I founded a group teaching Taekwondo to employees. I lived in Düsseldorf and joined the school of Hardi Follmer.
Back home in Austria I love to visit the school of Master Nader
Since I moved to the USA and it is hard to find a school for traditional Taekwondo I also started learning patters of modern Taekwondo. And I built a Dojang in my basement.
